About ME

Hello there! My name is Sarah and I'm an animator from North London. As a very young child I loved drawing and telling stories, and always knew that I wanted to work in a creative field.

I did my BA in Animation at SIAD in Farnham (now known as UCA), and graduated in 2005 with the film 'The End of the Ice Age'.

I then went on to work - first as a runner, then as an animator - on several short projects, mostly for TRUNK. During this time I also made a film with the support of the Film and Video Workshop, called 'The Elephant in the Room' (2007). I then went on to study for my MA at the Royal College of Art, where I made my graduation film 'What Light (Through Yonder Window Breaks)' (2009).

In late 2009 I joined the team at Ragdoll Productions, starting out as an animator and occasional writer on the series 'Dipdap', before going on to work on 'The Adventures of Abney and Teal'. I then became a writer on the stop-motion series, 'TwirlyWoos'‘.

In 2017 I directed a short film called ‘What shall we do with the Angry Monster?’, a co-production between Ragdoll and Disney EMEA for the Hope Works project.

Most recently I lead the animation team for the series ‘B.O.T. and the Beasties’ which started airing on CBeebies in January 2021.
